One Billion Lei Invested in Suburban Infrastructure, Funded by the Municipal Budget

Over the past five years, Chișinău City Hall has invested more than one billion lei in over 500 infrastructure projects in suburban areas, covering education, healthcare, public transport, water and sewage networks, roads, public lighting, waste management, and green space development.

  • Education: Construction and reopening of kindergartens, modernization of schools, new study buildings, capital repairs, and equipment upgrades.
  • Public Transport: Acquisition of 359 transport units (184 buses, 175 trolleybuses) with a budget impact of over 571 million lei.
  • Road Infrastructure: Road repairs and construction of new arteries, such as the Botoșani-Stamati-Salcâmilor section in Stăuceni.
  • Water and Sewage: Major projects, including a regional pumping station for Tohatin, Budești, and Cruzești, benefiting 15,000 residents.
  • Healthcare: Capital renovation of health centers in Colonița, Ciorescu, Cricova, and Bîc village.
  • Waste Management: Inter-municipal waste collection project in Budești, Tohatin, Cruzești, and Colonița.
  • Sports and Recreation: Multifunctional stadiums, parks, modernization of the Vadul lui Vodă promenade, including the construction of a summer theater.
  • Community Centers: Opening of the first community center for elderly people and refugees in Budești.

Chișinău is growing together with its suburbs! The municipality will continue investing in creating modern, comfortable, and attractive living spaces.
