In 2025, by August 1st, the Municipality of Chișinău, through projects funded by the EBRD and external sources, completed major works for the reclamation of the Ciocana landfill (Lot I) and the construction of a waste transfer station with a sorting line (Lot II).

These investments are part of a project worth a total of €5 million, funded under the EBRD Grant Agreement signed on 16.12.2020.
