The General Mayor, Ion Ceban, paid an official visit to Austria, together with a municipal delegation, and had a meeting with his counterpart from Vienna, Michael Ludwig.
During the dialogue between the parties, the mayor of the capital spoke about the current situation in the Republic of Moldova, about Chisinau and about the municipal projects currently being carried out, about the social programs and the support offered, including to refugees, from the first day they came to Chisinau, but also for those who settled in our city.
Ion Ceban also referred to the events planned for the current period in the capital, including the Urban Social Forum 2023 and other important cultural events. In this context, the Mayor General invited the officials from the Vienna City Hall to participate in the Forum as guests and participants.
Also, the mayor thanked for the support and support offered in several projects and for the openness granted to Chisinau City Hall and the residents of the municipality.
According to Ion Ceban, Chisinau has something to learn from Vienna, which is a city with traditions, one of the largest capitals in Europe, from where good practices can be taken over.
In international rankings, Vienna is the number 1 city in terms of urban solutions and comfort for all citizens.
At the Parliament in Vienna, the delegation from Chisinau, led by the Mayor General, had a meeting with the Deputy in the National Council of Austria, Harald Troch, who is also a member of the Commission for Foreign Policy, and with Mr. Gerhard Marchl – Member of the Renner – Institute.
The Austrian Legislature was also attended by the team of young people from the Municipal Youth Centers in Chisinau, which these days are conducting a tour through several European cities, in order to take over the best experiences in relevant fields.
