With an estimated value of approximately 26 million euros, the “Chișinău Solid Waste” project will fully modernize the capital’s waste management system and introduce European standards in the sanitation sector.
Construction works are progressing steadily, with activities actively ongoing on both project lots.
The largest waste transfer and sorting station in the country will include:
• modern sorting lines;
• concrete platforms built according to European standards;
• advanced leachate treatment systems;
• safe and responsible infrastructure for environmental protection.
“A sorting station is not a place where waste is accumulated, but a complex infrastructure with sorting lines, concrete platforms and leachate treatment systems, built according to regulations, with investments and responsibility,” stated Ludmila Pavlenco, Deputy Director of the Municipal Enterprise Regia “Autosalubritate”.
At the same time, works at the former Ciocana landfill have already reached 75% completion.
We are investing in modern infrastructure, a cleaner city, and a sustainable future for Chișinău.
