Between January and March of 2023, the city of Chisinau shows economic growth, registering the following results:

the nominal average gross monthly salary in the first quarter of 2023, in the municipality of Chisinau was 13,645.7 lei, exceeding by 18.8% the average salary in the country (11,486.2 lei);

the turnover in the industry recorded the value of 30,081.1 million lei (in current prices), increasing by 9,253.2 million lei, compared to the same period of the previous year;
-
the volume of goods transported by road transport companies from Chisinau, in the reference period, was 1,931.5 thousand tons, increasing by 10.1% compared to the first quarter of 2022;
-
the number of passengers transported by general purpose buses and minibuses was 12.6 million passengers, increasing by 40.9% compared to the same period of the previous year;
-
investments in immovable assets, from the account of all sources of financing made during the reference period, amounted to 3.6 billion lei, being down by 6.2% compared to January – March 2022;
-
travel agencies and tour operators provided tourist services to 36.2 thousand tourists and excursionists, increasing by 19.8% compared to January-March 2022.
