The social-economic evolution of the municipality of Chisinau, between January and December 2022, was influenced by a series of both internal and external factors such as: the regional situation caused by the war in the neighboring country, the energy crisis, the increase in inflation, the severe drought.
At the same time, the examination of the statistical data regarding the social-economic situation of the municipality of Chisinau during the reporting period, allows us to mention the following:
- the turnover in the industry recorded the value of 79,780.6 million lei, increasing by 26,933.2 million lei, in current prices, compared to the previous year;
- the nominal gross average monthly salary in the municipality of Chisinau was 12,486.5 lei, increasing by 15.7% compared to the same period of 2021;
- the volume of goods transported by road transport companies from Chisinau, in the reference period, constituted 8,167.2 thousand tons, increasing by 17.2% compared to the similar period of 2021;
- the number of passengers transported by general purpose buses and minibuses was 45.8 million passengers, increasing by 51.6% compared to the same period of the previous year;
- investments in immovable assets, from the account of all financing sources made during the reference period, amounted to 20,431.2 million lei, decreasing by 14.2% compared to January – December 2021;
- travel agencies and tour operators provided tourist services to 364.4 thousand tourists and excursionists, increasing by 53.2% compared to January – December 2021.
