On May 5, 2026, the Head of the General Directorate for Economy, Trade and Tourism, Mr. Roman Vitiuc, awarded certificates to students from the Department of Economics, Marketing and Tourism in recognition of their active involvement in validating the two pilot projects within the People Powered Tourism initiative.
The project aims to develop sustainable and participatory tourism by directly involving the community and authentically promoting local heritage. It contributes to creating meaningful tourism experiences tailored to visitors’ needs, while also strengthening the identity and attractiveness of the destination.
The students’ contribution has been valuable and highlights the important role of young people in shaping innovative and future-oriented tourism.
