Chisinau City Hall informs that the State Hydrometeorological Service has issued an ORANGE CODE weather warning for precipitation and strong wind for the period February 16, 20:00 – February 17, 17:00.
According to meteorologists, heavy precipitation in the form of snow and sleet (20–35 l/m²) is expected across large areas.
At the same time, strong north-westerly winds will gust up to 15–20 m/s, causing blizzards, snowdrifts and reduced visibility. Icy conditions will form on roads.
Municipal services are prepared and will intervene in the field when necessary.
