Elaboration of the new food concept in municipal educational institutions in Chisinau with the support of UNDP Moldova.
The vice mayor of Chisinau, Angela Cutasevici, said that the municipality will introduce a new concept in the food system in the capital’s educational institutions.
According to the official, it is about the introduction of a common procurement system for food products intended for school canteens, but also about the standardization of menus and prices in canteens of municipal educational institutions.
It is planned to modernize the 5 combined food stores under the Chisinau City Hall.
The vice-mayor specified that rethinking the management system of school and high school canteens also implies rethinking the purchase of food products so that adulterated products do not appear on the tables of preschoolers or schoolchildren.
A new structure is proposed to purchase, in a centralized way, the food products intended for the existing kitchens in the municipal educational institutions.
