Chisinau City Hall, through the Municipal Center for Entrepreneurship Development, has launched the application process to the Municipal Entrepreneurship Education Program, the Municipal Pilot Program “Startup for Young People and Migrants” and the Municipal Business Incubator, to support young people in launching their own businesses.
Present at the event, the Mayor General, Ion Ceban, stated that the development of municipal policies addressed to young people is to give them the opportunity to run their businesses here, at home, and to capitalize on their potential for their benefit, but also to the entire community, in the municipality of Chisinau or on the territory of the republic.
Each newly launched program involves the following activities:
* Municipal entrepreneurial education program, application submission period 02.05-31.12.2024. The aim of the entrepreneurial training sessions is to give young people the opportunity to develop their entrepreneurial thinking, skills and knowledge needed to successfully start and manage their own businesses.
* Municipal-Pilot Program “Startup for Young and Migrants”, application submission period 02.05-07.06.2024. The purpose of the program is to stimulate entrepreneurship among young people and migrants in Chisinau, by facilitating the launch and development of sustainable businesses and supporting the creation of new jobs. Within the financing component of the Program, with a contribution of only 30%, young people and migrants will be able to obtain non-refundable financial support, up to 200 thousand lei, for the realization of their own investment projects.
* The Municipal Business Incubator, the period for submitting files 02.05 – until the available places are exhausted. The purpose of the Program is the development of resident companies from the cultural and creative industries and the information technology sector.
The municipal business incubator will ensure the creation of the necessary infrastructure to develop businesses in the nominated sectors by:
Granting physical and virtual spaces for activity;
Providing logistical and technical support for young people at the stage of initiating a Start-up;
Organization of training and mentoring courses;
Ensuring informative support regarding business financing sources, etc.
Chisinau City Hall focuses its efforts on promoting and implementing good practices in the process of launching and developing entrepreneurial activities among young people in Chisinau.
