Mayor General Ion Ceban participated in the launch meeting of the preliminary stage of the “Energy Efficiency of Kindergartens in Chișinău” project — one of the most important initiatives aimed at modernizing the municipal educational infrastructure.
Currently, 30 kindergartens in the capital are entering the stage of detailed energy audits, while the project is being implemented by the Chișinău City Hall with the support of the EBRD, EIB and E5P.
The first stage financed by the EIB includes 12 early education institutions located in the Centru, Botanica, Râșcani and Buiucani districts.
“Our objective is to complete all administrative stages as quickly as possible so that the projects reach the beneficiaries — children, parents and teaching staff — in the shortest time,” stated Ion Ceban.
The total estimated budget of the project amounts to 33.8 million euros and provides for the energy modernization of up to 50–52 kindergartens in the municipality of Chișinău.
