The General Mayor, Ion Ceban, is visiting Strasbourg, within the framework of the Council of Europe Congress of Local and Regional Authorities.
The mayor of the capital, as vice-president of the Congress of Local Authorities from Moldova (CALM), participated in several sessions, where regional and local issues, proposals and solutions were discussed.
During his visit, the Mayor General, Ion Ceban, had a meeting with the President of CORLEAP, Leendert Verbeek, as well as with the monitoring team and the rapporteurs for the Republic of Moldova.
In his capacity as vice-president of the Congress of Local Authorities from Moldova (CALM) and president of the delegation of the Republic of Moldova to CORLEAP, Ion Ceban presented the official position of CALM regarding the situation of local democracy in the Republic of Moldova.
Also, during the discussions, the mayor of the capital also referred to the collaboration relations of the Local Public Administrations with the central authority, but also about the involvement of CALM in the process of reforming the LPAs in the Republic of Moldova.
