This project is financed by the EBRD, through the Government of Austria, as part of the Green Cities Framework (GrCF). The program aims to achieve high environmental performance and maximize economic and social benefits in Chisinau, in three directions:<\/p>\n
Quality of environmental components (water, air, soil, biodiversity).
\nEfficient use of resources.
\nMitigation and adaptation to risks arising from climate change.<\/p>\n
Therefore, in the “Strategic Planning – Chisinau – Green City” project, the main objective is to identify priorities and actions regarding the sustainable development of the city. It is desired that following the implementation of this project, the population will have a high quality of life and living, in a green city, which uses its resources in an efficient way. The project includes three major stages:<\/p>\n
– Analysis of the current situation of Chisinau Municipality, through an intensive data collection process related to seven main sectors (Transport, Energy, Buildings, Energy, Water, Waste and Territorial Planning).<\/p>\n
– Prioritizing aspects of interest in Chisinau Municipality, based on collected data, technical analysis and consultations with interested parties.<\/p>\n
– Definition of the vision and short- and medium-term objectives, together with the proposal of actions to be implemented over a period of 10 years.<\/p>\n
“Strategic Planning – Chisinau – Green City” will be developed by a team of international and local consultants. In the early phase of the project, the following implementation structures were established:<\/p>\n
The Working Group for the implementation of the project, which includes 9 members from the mayor’s office and municipal enterprises in the relevant sectors for the project.
\nThe Supervisory Committee for ensuring the good development and implementation of the project, but also for coordination at a high decision-making level, made up of 3 people.<\/p>\n
The duration of the development of the Strategic Planning is 12 months, followed by the period of financing and implementation of the actions, monitoring and verification.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
