Together with dozens of mayors from around the world, experts, and high-level officials, the Mayor discussed the urban challenges of the 21st century and modern solutions for city development.<\/p>\n
During the forum, Ion Ceban presented the projects implemented by the municipality, future plans, and the long-term vision for the development of Chi\u0219in\u0103u.<\/p>\n
The main directions addressed by the municipality include:
\n\u2022 integrating urban mobility into urban planning processes;
\n\u2022 using GIS systems and mobility data for evidence-based decision-making;
\n\u2022 developing infrastructure for public transport and active mobility;
\n\u2022 creating permanent coordination mechanisms between municipal departments;
\n\u2022 integrating SUMP objectives into annual investment and budgeting processes.<\/p>\n
The project implemented in Chi\u0219in\u0103u is carried out with the support of within the initiative \u201cBuilding Back Safe, Sustainable and Resilient Transport and Urban Mobility Systems in Western Balkan and Central Asian Landlocked Developing Regions\u201d, financed by the United Nations Development Account.<\/p>\n
