Today, May 29, 2025, the Chi\u0219in\u0103u Municipal Council approved the decision to launch the Multifunctional Industrial Platform in the municipality of Chi\u0219in\u0103u<\/strong> \u2013 a major initiative aimed at stimulating industrial growth, attracting investment, and creating jobs through modern infrastructure for local businesses.<\/p>\n Chi\u0219in\u0103u is the main economic hub of the Republic of Moldova, generating over 60% of national economic activity and hosting a significant share of SMEs. However, the city currently lacks an organized area with proper infrastructure to support industrial and manufacturing activities. This limits business growth, reduces investment appeal, and underutilizes the local labor force.<\/p>\n The implementation of the Chi\u0219in\u0103u Multifunctional Industrial Platform (PIM Chi\u0219in\u0103u)<\/strong> is therefore a necessary strategic measure to create a competitive industrial ecosystem with turnkey infrastructure, dedicated to SMEs and investors in key economic sectors.<\/p>\n The project is funded by the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (NFRLD)<\/strong>, following a call for projects launched between June and September 2024 by the Chi\u0219in\u0103u Municipal Regional Development Agency (CMRDA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Total budget<\/strong>: 27.8 million MDL<\/p>\n<\/li>\n NFRLD grant<\/strong>: 25 million MDL<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Chi\u0219in\u0103u municipality contribution<\/strong>: 2.78 million MDL (10%)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Location<\/strong>: 15 Calea Ghidighici, Buiucani sector, Chi\u0219in\u0103u<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Area<\/strong>: 1.5 ha (a new lot formed from a 3.63 ha public property plot)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Industrial zone<\/strong> with access to major transport infrastructure (national roads, bypass, railway, public transport)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n PIM Chi\u0219in\u0103u will offer fully equipped infrastructure for both production and auxiliary activities. Planned facilities include:<\/p>\n Upgraded utilities (electricity, water, sewerage, gas, telecommunications);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Internal roads for heavy traffic, loading and unloading platforms;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Energy-efficient public lighting;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Centralized waste management system with selective collection and industrial waste zones;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Modular production and storage spaces, for rent or built by investors;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Administrative building, offices, conference rooms, startup hubs, and support services;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Access roads, parking lots, and protective green areas;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n 24\/7 security, CCTV surveillance, technical maintenance, assistance with permits, utility connections, and grant access.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n The platform will prioritize enterprises in the following fields:<\/p>\n Light industry and local processing: textiles, furniture, wood, innovative construction materials;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Automotive and electronics: components, cabling, subassemblies, electrical equipment;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Technology and innovation: R&D centers, prototyping, 3D printing, small series production labs;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Light logistics and warehousing: operators ensuring supply chains for locally produced goods.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n The coordinating body for the project will be the Municipal Center for Entrepreneurship Development<\/strong>, responsible for:<\/p>\n Preparing the funding application;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Initiating design work on the 1.5 ha plot;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Completing cadastral documents and securing permits;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Overseeing project delivery and registering property rights.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n The General Directorate for Architecture and Urban Planning<\/strong> will handle:<\/p>\n Cadastral data updates and registrations;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Issuing urban planning documents and building permits.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n The Chi\u0219in\u0103u Multifunctional Industrial Platform<\/strong> is not just an infrastructure investment \u2013 it\u2019s a cornerstone for the city\u2019s transition to a sustainable, competitive, and innovation-driven economy.
